No one answers the phone or returns calls for days
Waiting for parts is a frequent answer to when my RV will be fixed. It has been over 1 year and they are still saying waiting for parts.
Lazy Days closed the Denver Aroura store and cancelled my appointment.
Then I had to drive 4 hours to leave it at the Johnstown store. Parts that were previously ordered were cancelled and the waiting for parts was restarted.

Verified Buyer |Buying experience not great but service department is TERRIBLE
I have had numerous issues with my new Grand Design fifth wheel - things that I shouldnt have to deal with at day one. I still cannot get my refrigerator installed correctly - it rocks 4inches back and forth (even after three times fixing it).
Good luck trying to get anyone to return your call!
I get a few texts or emails (about another issue that Ive tried to get resolved) but only after calling the General Manager (who just sends it back to the service department to fix - he doesnt follow through himself to see if his employees are handling the issue). Im at three months and counting (they owe me money).
User's recommendation: Stay far, far away from Lazy Days

Verified Reviewer |Unprofessional and violent
Sales manager exploded and yelled at me when I decided not to purchase. I'm in a wheelchair, so when someone jumps to their feet and yells at you, it's scary. Considering legal action as well
User's recommendation: Don't spend your money there

Verified Reviewer |Disappointing experience.
Had interactions with 3 different Lazy Days locations. I worked with Tampa location to buy a new 5th wheel but after negotiating with a sales manager there he told me you take care of your business and Ill take care of mine.
Did buy a used 5th wheel from Milwaukee location. Charged $100 to adjust hitch when told that was included. Detailing was told to do more cleaning of freezer, but after getting home discovered mold and moldy blueberries left in freezer. Was told KOA 1-yr membership is included, but KOA would not honor it because I had been KOA member before (not been member for almost 8 years).
Told Thousand Trails membership is included with nationwide camping. Actually, it was a trial membership good for just 1 region.
Need to pay for upgrade to get nationwide camping. Do not believe what they tell you, and do not expect much from them.
User's recommendation: Buy somewhere else.

Verified Reviewer |Appt setter hung up on me! And would not call me back
Still no call
When I said all I want is to see some pictures of the inside of the rig! I said come on why dont they include pictures of the inside of the rig? Why do we have to send a request and she hung up on me! So I called the number and asked the operator for a callback from the sales department at Tampa Lazy Days RV.
Never received a phone call rude and ridiculous for her to hang up on me because they didnt put pictures of the inside of the rig up so I can see. I live all the way in Melbourne, Im not gonna drive 3 1/2 hours to Tampa to see a rig when I dont know what it looks like on the inside I mean, give me a break !
well all I can say is I will never purchase a vehicle from Lazy Days RV. You lost my business buddy all because of a hot tempered immature appointment setter girl!
- Maybe the prices
- Rude not afraid to hang up on you
Preferred solution: Apology
User's recommendation: Don’t go there. If the appointment center doesn’t have time to talk to you and hangs up the phone then what are the salesman like.

Verified ReviewerBad Place to go
We've had our RV for 8 months and it was supposed to have warranty items and other things fixed. They never fixed the warranty items and merely glued the dishwasher, not bothering to fix the refrigerated door.
The batteries aren't charging, so we have to buy new ones. We've spent way too much money.
The employees said they would help, but we've got nothing.
We've called every month asking and still, nothing. We didn't even receive an apology or assurance that they will fix or take care of anything, so now we are on our own.

I brought my RV in for fixing A/C cover leak and Sligh scratch on the body. I was told it will take less than two months but it's been more than 4 months now and still no response to my status request.
Very bad manner and never responded on time. Worst service I've ever received from a dealer companyDod

To corporate, my name is Stan Mount and i purchased a motorhome from your Mesa Az location back on Jan 25 and at the time of purchase the rig had a few issues that needed to be fixed, when i left i was told to take my rig to a mechanic and any repairs would be reimbursed to me, i have talked to several people at that location first was Chris Cienfuegos who is no longer there, then i talked to Ryne Czyznikiewicz who informed me he would take care of my issues, i have sent him details of the repairs that needed to be done via email and i have also sent him txt messages and i am getting no where. As i understand i have a 30 dealer warranty which expire tomorrow and i stilll have not gotten any responses from anyone. I would appreciate a call back from the corporate office to let me know where i stand with these issues.
Thank you Stan Mount 661-212-****

Verified Reviewer |Why Lie to a Customer
I have to convey this experience we had with a Grand Design dealer so others will not have a similar one. I gave Lazy Days RV of Milwaukee, in Sturtevant, Wisconsin, a last look at a couple of the other offers we had on a new Imagine 2970RL.
I conveyed to them exactly what the deal was, and they said it was a go, they would match it. I clearly laid out with the salesman, Tyler, everything about the deal. We scheduled a time for us to come and do the paperwork. We went and got our trade out of inside storage, spent a few hours emptying it and lugging the stuff inside.
Then, we took off of work a half day and were ready to head up about 50 minutes away. The Business Manager called me about an hour before our meeting and said they had good news, We were approved at a certain rate and my payment would be 20% more per month than the deal we agreed to. He said that the deal they agreed to was with $2,000 down. I have a trade in with huge equity in it.
I NEVER AGREED TO NOR DISCUSSED PUTTING $2,000 DOWN! What SHYSTERS! Our credit is over 800 and they are trying to charge an enormous rate so they can make money off of it. That will be the last time I give a dealer the final look and, certainly, the last time I frequent Lazy Days RV.
How to ruin what should have been an exciting day.
I have two other dealers that have already agreed to this deal. My biggest issue is that they wasted our time and tried to cheat us.
- Comfortable inside
- Treat customers like meat
- Fabricate agreements
- Lie about the deal
Preferred solution: Nothing from this place. I simply want other customers to know and beware.
User's recommendation: Go somewhere else and buy a Grand Design

Verified Buyer |Ember caswell refuses to return my phone calls
Ember Caswell Still has refused to call me. Evidently someone got the message I was pissed.
I had another service manager call me and he set up an apt for repair, next week.
If she had just called me back, text me, or even email me. I would not have to go this far to get a phone call.
i have done this for 3 weeks! I have even had other people from the Vancouver, Washington store email her for me. SHE STILL HAS NOT RETURNED MY PHONE CALL! I drove 5 hours to talk to her, and she was off!
but if she had just returned my phone call, I would not have had to drive that far!
I'm tired of waiting on her I need warranty work done, and she will not return my phone calls!
I have contacted Grand Design too.
something has to be done. This is not a great look.
my next move will be social media. So either i get a phone call, or the BBB andsocial media will be next step.

Verified Reviewer |Warrant
I purchased a 2018 Grand Design Reflection in Aug 2023. The salesman and the GM both told me it came with a 30 day warranty on everything, anything have problems and all we had to do is call the TECH support line and they would get it fixed no matter where we were in the US.
First weekend out both of the Dometic CT Thermostats started to act crazy. Called The Tech Support line, they said call Scheduling, I did two times a day for a week when I got to talk to someone they said I had to bring it in for them to look at and fill out a warranty report and then bring it back to have it replaced. Even though their Tech guy told them it was the thermostats. I explained to them I was 4 hours away from them and could not get off on a week day to bring it in.
They told me the only option I had was to buy the thermostats myself. "DO you want me to Transfer you to PARTS " I said NO then she said That I had to being it to them. NOT what I was told when they were trying to get me to purchase the unit.
And the GM also told me if I did not bring it in with in the 30 days they could not warranty the problem.
Boy that's the way to do business I am one happy customer!!! :(
Be careful dealing with these guys.

Verified Reviewer |Terrible service department
Sales was good, have no problem with them. The service department, however, is pathetic at best.
My 5th wheel was there for 4 months to do some upgrades and repair a slide that was not working. A list of the mistakes they made would be too long to post but here are the highlights: barrel locks were to be installed; one was installed almost correctly, another was installed incorrectly and another was not really installed at all. Slide parts installed were wrong ones, other parts were wrong size and all were installed incorrectly, took my RV to a well know and highly respected shop in Indiana and they literally removed 3 bolts on the slide mechanism by hand they werent even tightened down! On just the 1 slide that was worked on, this new shop identified more than 12 errors that were made in the repairs.
Communication throughout the 4 months was horrible...
the only way I could reach service was via text and often times, it would take over a week to get a response (after calling the corporate office). Avoid this service department if you can!
- Sales people are awesome and accommodating
- Service and customer care after
- Extras bought at signing
Preferred solution: Price reduction
User's recommendation: Avoid the service department and pass on the "extras" when purchasing
Lazy Days will not stand behind their word or Signed Contract!
After selling our RV to the dealership Lazy Days went back on their word and did not honor a signed contract. On inspecting our RV an issue was found with a slide and Lazy Days took a $1000 off of the agreed price.
We agreed after some back and forth negotiations with Shane (the sales person) shared they would have to fix or in his words (eat it) if other issues were found upon further inspection. Since the check was already made out for the agreed amount, we had to agree in the contract on a check to be overnighted for a $1000 less. Contract was amended and then signed and the RV was then taken away.
The following day we contacted Shane to ask about purchasing our unit back as an RV we were looking at to buy did not work out. Shane was very frustrated and said this just opened up a can of worms and he would have to speak with Lazy Days on Monday when he returned to work.
Less than a 1/2 hour after this conversation we decided because of the hassle for Shane and how frustrated he was with this issue we decided to send a text to Shane and to leave the signed contract the way it was. We would then proceed in finding another RV.
Monday morning Shane calls and shares to come and get the unit as they found other issues and that he never received the text. Buyers or sellers beware that Lazy Days will not stand behind their word nor a signed contract.
- Sounds like a good dealership until
- Do not honor their signed contract
- After the deal is made
Preferred solution: HONESTY
User's recommendation: Beware!
